Lo Lo Jones is one of the American athletes who came into the Olympics with incredible media fanfare, magazine covers and expectation. Unfortunately she ended up in fourth place. For some reason her fall created bitter feelings from teammates who won medals but found themselves overshadowed by news of Lo Lo Jones’ loss. Furthermore, the media has reserved their harshest words of the games for Lo Lo. Watch this emotional video interview and you can see how these words stung her deeply. It is a complicated story, but I feel sorry for Lo Lo Jones, because the media help build her up and then was the very thing that tore her down.
