I saw this video on USA Today [5] on a pediatrician who quieted a crying bay within seconds. They way he does it makes you scratch your head in disbelief (watch the video). His answer is to make babies sleep on their sides. Yet, letting babies sleep on their side (on their own) has been discouraged by the same USA Today a few years ago [6] and yet no mention here.
