Moms worldwide loved this Oscar speech

Before we get too far away from the Academy Awards I just had to stop to thank Best Director Oscar winner Tom Hooper for his amazing tribute to his mother. By strange circumstances Hooper’s mother had a key role in making the film, The King’s Speech. As you know, The King’s Speech went on to win the Academy Award for Best Picture. I will not spoil what Hooper said in his Oscar acceptance speech, but leave the video below for you to enjoy.

More below…

In sad news, one mom at the Academy Awards was not honored nor pleased. Judy Haim is the mother of actor Corey Haim who died last year but was not included in the memorial tribute to actors who passed away in 2010. CBS reports that Judy Haim felt snubbed. No word on why he was left out.

He was indeed a class act, as was Colin Firth. I had seen the movie only the day before the Oscars and loved it. Thank you, Erika, for your recommendation last month.
