Take a good look at this picture. This is of an Iowa man who tried to steal the identity of an Oregon man by getting a debit card in his name. In order look more like his victim, he dressed up like he was in an accident to throw off the bank. Luckily, it didn’t work. This just happened days ago and shows how we Oregonians are having our identity compromised by strangers a thousand miles away.
Now even more frightening is the news that identity thieves are making a long-term living off of people’s stolen records. We are talking buying homes and applying for jobs with stoeln ID”S. Please watch the video below form the Today Show to see one terrible example.
