Kate Wilhelm (June 8, 1928 – March 8, 2018) was a popular author based out of Eugene Oregon. She wrote science fiction, mystery, and suspense novels and won two Hugo Awards and was inducted into The Science Fiction and Fantasy Hall of Fame.
